How to Choose the Perfect Planner

February 12, 2017 2 Comments

We are almost finished with the first month of 2017, and do you know what that means?  Planners are on sale!  This is the perfect time to snag that super chic planner you’ve been eyeing as you pass by Paper Source.  I recently picked up a new one and I am completely in love.  Over the years, I have narrowed down what is important to me when I purchase a planner.  Here are a couple of tips I have picked up along the way that can help out in your search:

  1. There has to be room to write in the monthly layout.  I like using this feature most because I can see what my month looks like on the whole.  To be honest, I typically don’t write in the weekly sections of my planners, but I recently talked to a friend and she highly reccomends it.  I asked her why and she mentioned that she likes to fit in appointment details (think time and location of brunch dates with your besties, or what to bring to the new classpass you signed up for).  I’m going to give this a whirl.
  2. Spiral bound is a must for me.  This planner really hit the nail on the head.  The spiral is hidden so it won’t snag on anything in your bag when you’re running errands or around town.  This also helps keep the planner open as your writing in your important dates.
  3. I have also found that I utilize the mini folders planners include.  This helps me organize any bills that need to be paid, receipts that I want to hold onto, or just a cute holder for a thank you card I am about to send out.
  4. Last, but not least, I love picking out a planner that reflects me. I chose the Paper Source Planner above for 2017 and I couldn’t be happier.  I love the simple, yet super chic design, and it met all of my organizational requirements.

Happy organizing!
